This purpose built video conferencing suite is designed to optimize communication with the remote sites. All room elements have been selected to enhance the video conferencing experience: the fan shaped table allows all participants good sightlines to the camera and monitors. The acoustical absorption has been optimized to provide clear audio transmission between sites. The lighting layout has been designed to provide even coverage to all participants.
The conferencing system consists of dual 65” flat panel displays mounted side by side to display the far end participants and shared data simultaneously. Table mounted microphones with shock resistant mounts to minimize table noise are provided between each pair of seats and a ceiling mounted distributed loudspeaker system provides audio reinforcement. A remote control system integrating all room and system functions has been provided via a table-top touch panel.
