This purpose built video conferencing suite is designed to optimize the performance of the system. All room elements have been selected to enhance the video conferencing experience: the fan shaped table allows all participants good sightlines to the camera and monitors, the acoustical absorption and color of the rear wall and the lighting layout provide good coverage to both the seating and the rear wall.
The conferencing system consists of dual 65” plasma screens mounted side by side for images of the far end participants and shared data from table mounted computer inputs. Table mounted microphones with shock resistant mounting to minimize table noise are provided between each pair of seats and a ceiling mounted distributed loudspeaker system provides audio reinforcement. A remote control system integrating all room and system functions has been provided via a table-top touch panel.
